Privacy

This English version is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

What this site does not do

It sets no cookies and uses no audience measurement tool or advertising tracker. Fonts, images and videos are served from the site itself, without calling on third-party services.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any host, Cloudflare processes technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse.

Trial program

If you leave your email address in the trial program form, it is used only to let you know when a LIFE object opens for trials. It is neither sold nor used for any other purpose. You can unsubscribe in one click from any message.

The form sends only your email address, with a note indicating that it comes from this site's trial program, in French or in English. It is run on Google Forms (Google LLC): your address is kept in LIFE's Google account.

If you write to us

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and the content of your message. They are used only to reply to you.

Retention

Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above, then deleted. Your email address stays on the trial program list for as long as you want to be notified; it is removed as soon as you unsubscribe or ask us to stop contacting you. Technical logs are kept by Cloudflare under its own policy.

Hosting and transfers outside Québec

Cloudflare, Inc. is a company based in the United States (see the legal notice). Technical logs may therefore be processed outside Québec and Canada. The emails you send us and the trial program sign-ups are stored by Google LLC (Gmail and Google Forms), which may also host them outside Québec.

Your information is neither sold nor rented. It is shared only with the technical providers needed to run the site and the email service, or when the law requires it.

Your rights

You can request access to the information about you, or its correction or deletion, by writing to [email protected].

You can also withdraw your consent at any time, and ask for the information you provided to be sent to you in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability). The law provides for a response within 30 days of receiving your request.

Complaints

If you believe your information has not been handled in accordance with the law, you can write to us, and you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. Elsewhere in Canada, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Who is responsible

LIFE is a brand of LB Informatique Formation Évolution inc., Montréal, Québec; it is responsible for the information collected on this site.

This information is protected by Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as modernized by Law 25, and, where applicable, by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA, Canada).
